Training goals

U8 – U12

  • Comprehensive soccer specific development of fundamentals
  • Learning and perfecting basic techniques

U13 – U16

  • Individual soccer specific training within team concept
  • Establishing dynamic technical execution on demand

U17 – U18

  • Perfecting tactical understanding
  • Individual improvement of technical ability
  • Commitment to produce optimal game performance

Training content

U8 – U12

  • Exercising basic techniques with high numbers of repetition
  • Promoting agility and coordination training
  • Learning technical execution and tactical understanding in small-sided games

U13 – U16

  • Introducing system of play, team tactics and specific-positional behaviour
  • Tactical behaviour in ball possession as individual, in units and as entire team
  • Pressing as a unit towards the ball to win possession
  • Exercising basic techniques with both feet at higher tempo
  • Positional technical training

U17 – U18

  • Establishing team shape both ways, quick transitional play, pressing
  • Positional play, quick ball movement and tempo to outmanoeuvre opposition
  • Perfecting the touch on the ball

Physical development

U8 – U12
