Looking to get your little one into soccer? Chinooks is offering a year-round comprehensive grassroots program for the following age groups:
Locations: Grassroots programs will be held at:
NW - FE Osborne Junior High - 5315 Varsity Dr NW, Calgary, AB T3A 1A7
SW - Rutland Park Community Centre - 3130 40 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T3E 6W9
Program Time: 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Program Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday depending on age/time
You will sign up for one program.
- U4's program will have one time on one day a week, and
- U5's and up will have two times on two days a week.
We do offer the option to add another day/time (twice a week for U4s) or additional training opportunities if interested. Please contact grassroots@chinooksoccer.com for details.
Calgary Minor Soccer Association (CMSA) programs for older children begin in U7/U8, and we have other program offerings for players who would like to be challenged more - here.

A fun skills and games based introduction to playing soccer for 3&4 year old’s or born in 2017. This Grassroots Play and Train program will allow young children to begin to cultivate a passion for the game, while developing an understanding of fair play, rules and applying themselves on the ball. Each program day consists of 8 sessions - May to end of June. We attempt to maintain a Participant Ratio of 6 players to 1 trainer at this age, and as such we may limit registrations until we achieve registration targets or put some registrations on a wait list until a registration number is achieved. Preliminary class size is limited to 12 participants.
